San Francisco Airport park and fly recs

We need to park our car for 3 weeks and stay one night before flying out. I found some old threads from 04 but has anyone done this recently? Have a recommendation? We can stay at the Marriott on points but parking is $10 a day. Thanks.

I've stayed at the Best Western El Rancho in Millbrae several times, and like it very much. I've never parked there but they do have a park & fly option and a shuttle to the airport, of course. http://www.elranchoinn.com/

Yes, I checked on it. They do have park and fly. Reviews on tripadvisor not too good.

We have done the El Rancho many times in the last 25 years. It has always been fine.

I understand you have to leave your keys which my husband is not too keen on. Is the lot secure?

What do you call "secure"? I've seen people leaving their cars and riding the shuttle. Nice cars, upscale people. It's a parking lot within and surrounding the hotel buildings. It's a popular place, lots of repeat clientele, as you can see here. It's busy and your car won't be off in some deserted place. If your husband is concerned, pay more for more security.

Thank you. Good to know. My parents have also stayed there and parked their friends' red cadillac there with no problems.

I gave the wrong price for Marriott parking above - it's $23 per day when staying on points.

The El Rancho may have changed their requirements - but they used to allow 2 weeks parking w/ one night's stay. So you might have to make special arrangements . . . or stay one night on each end of your trip to get 3 weeks free parking.

I've stayed in just about every motel in the area w/ park and fly packages (there are quite a few). The El Rancho is one of the better ones. There are cheaper properties - but they tend to be more basic.

Thanks, Janis. I called and it is 2 weeks free, $7 a day thereafter.

El Rancho used to leave the cars where you parked them many years ago, but now the cars are moved off site and brought back just prior to your return. Yeah, I know, I don't like that either.. We once used a long term lot, using a AAA coupon. I can't remember the name, but it was fine, car was still in one piece.
