San Fran first timer

Will be traveling to SF at the beginning of January enroute to Hawaii. Will be staying on Fisherman's Wharf for three nights and we are looking for several nice restaurants in the vicinity. Am not willing to re-mortgage the house for dining in SF. :)

Capn-What do you consider "mortgageable"?

Scoma's is a SF experience. Especially if you get a seat up in the back and get a little view of the city.

Cafe Pescatore in the Tuscan Inn is OK.
A little walk down the Embarcadero to Fog City Diner?
You're really not that far a walk or taxi ride up to some inexpensive places on NoBeach.
McCormick-Kuleto's at Ghiradelli Sq may be in your price range and has a good view.

Buena Vista has some decent grub and a nice Irish Coffee!
Gary Danko is a def re-fi.

Their are a number of restaurants easy distance from where you are staying either walking or by public transport. Check Chowhound and Zagats for tips on where to eat.

Globe is a casual inexpensive place we sometimes take clients.

If your home mortgage is over $250 or so, then I think you'll have no problem no matter where you go!!
