San Fran Caltrain

Does anyone know if MUNI day passes can be purchased at the 4th/King St. Caltrain station in San Fran? If not, whats the easiest way to get to the Powell/Market cable car turnaround. It looks like a fairly long walk.

Why not just take Caltrain to the Millbrae BART station and transfer to BART (which stops at Powell/Market?

TrvlMaven's idea is a good one. When you arrive at Powell/Market on BART, you can buy your MUNI Passport at the ticket office there.

You could also take the 30 or 45 MUNI bus from the SF Caltrain station, (it will go down 3rd street), get off at 3rd&Market, then walk 2 big blocks down Market to the cable car turnaround.

Yes, you can purchase MUNI day passes as the 4th and King station.

A couple (unsolicited) tips -- if there's a long line at the beginning of the cable car route, it's sometimes easier to walk up a few blocks and hop on! And of the 2 lines, I think the Powell-Hyde is more spectacular than the Powell-Mason.
