San Fran Airport Info: Getting to Our Hotel

Hi;

We'll be flying into San Fran airport and need to get to our hotel (1565 Broadway: Castle Inn). We won't be renting a car. What would a cabfare run? Is there another (easy) recommended method for 3 women with luggage (one of the people in our party is 80 but in good physical condition).

There are airport shuttles. We will be heading there tomorrow and will be using Super Shuttle (www.supershuttle.com). Our last trip we had a car on the first leg but used them for our return to airport. We will be using them round-trip this time. Fare is $13.50 per person. Not sure how that compares to a cab.

3 women: 3 suitcases, 3 carry-ons? Will all this fit into one cab?

Shuttles are about $12-$15 per person one-way, I never make reservations, just jump into the first available.

Why don't you just ask your hotel? They should have all the answers.

Cab fare from SFO to downtown for 1 passanger is approx. $35 (w/o tip)--you can usually get a van cab that will accomodate 3 people with luggage. FYI in order to take shuttle you must go to the departure level as they do not pickup on the arrival level. In terms of convenience I would personally go with a cab for the small amount you will save by taking a shuttle.

Hello dwsjas, you might want to take a look at the SFO web page which will give you transportation info. The address is: www.flysfo.com.

I hope you all enjoy your visit in SF!
