San Diego top not to be missed sights
We are a fifty something year old couple planning a four day vacation in and around San Diego. What are the top sights (don't have to be touristy) not to be missed. Any recommendations for accomodations/areas maybe near the ocean? Restaurants - where the locals eat?

This is where I take guests:
Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island.
They have an EXCELLENT Brunch.

Cabrillo National Monument for CA. history. On a clear day the views are phenomenal.

Balboa Park for Museums, restaurants, and the Zoo. Don't miss it.

Best beach town in San Diego- La Jolla.

We REALLY like C- Level for outdoor dining with fabulous skyline views, great moderately priced food. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Lots of locals.

You didn't say when you were coming- if you are here in August early September- Del Mar Race Track will be loaded with locals.
