San Diego Pub/Brewery on Broadway
 

There is a large pub/brewery located on Broadway going towards the train station from the Hotel Sofia. Can anyone give me the name of the pub? Thanks.

Could you be thinking of the Karl Strauss Brewery? I believe it's on Columbia.

Either Karl Strauss or Rock Bottom Brewery. If you have a choice, go to Karl Strauss.

Thank you for your quick replies. Would the Yard House be a better choice for a group of around fifty to meet for apps and brew? Our convention hotel will be on Broadway and I am looking for something in walking distance.

Has anyone tried the Yard House?

I tried the Yard House a few years back when they opened. It's huge with a ton of different beers on tap (which is its primary draw). I would think it would be a great place for a group...but would definitely call ahead to make sure they're equipped to handle your large group.
