San Diego mission beach

We're taking our teenagers/inlaws to San Diego next week and renting a condo on Mission Beach. Where do locals recommend eating in that general area? (moderately priced for this crowd - California cuisine.) Thanks, in advance! Gennie

Gennie, I would be interested in knowing what recommendations you receive as we too are headed to Mission Beach later this month. Thanks! Brenda

There's a pretty varied bunch of restaurants in Pacific Beach. The Green Flash is always popular.

Just an FYI, alcohol is not allowed on the beach. No beer no wine, nothing, at any time of the day or night. Or the boardwalk.

Gringos is a popular Mexican restaurant on Mission Blvd and Garnet Ave (which is in Pacific Beach about 1 mile north). The food is okay - but it is a fun, fiesta atmosphere.

The Mission Cafe on Mission Blvd in Mission Beach is very popular for breakfast.

There is usually a farmer's market on Mission Blvd and Pacific Beach Drive if you have kitchen facilities.

Sorry, The farmers market I belive, is on the weekends

There is an excellent, reasonably priced Greek restaurant in Pacific Beach called Cafe Athena
1846 Garnet Ave
San Diego, CA 92109
