San Diego-Lodging

Can anyone tell me a decent place to stay in San Diego that is convenient to SeaWorld, Qualcomm, the Zoo, etc in the $100 per night range?

thanks

Ken,
Pretty much any hotel in the "hotel circle" district. Days Inn types. I know for a fact the Days Inn offers packages for both the Zoo and Sea World admissions with hotel stay and provides shuttle service to and from Sea World and the Zoo. Sea World charges an arm and a leg to park. The packages wind up saving you anywhere from fifty to one hundred dollars. You may want to check it out. www.daysinn.com.

Jen

Ramada Plaza on Hotel Circle should meet your needs, and I found it to be quite nice for the price.

ramada inn is definitly one of the better hotels in hotel circle. ask for a room toward the back of the hotel - furthest from the freeway.

Ken, I live in San Diego and just checked out several Mission Valley area hotels for my brother. The Ramada was on his list, but I would put it at the bottom. At the top, the Doubletree in Hazard Center. They have a 21 day advance booking rate of $102.00 per night. It was the least expensive and is in quite a good location in a shopping center which also has a couple of good restaurants. None of the others that I checked were as inexpensive (The Hilton, Hanalei, Holiday Inn). Of all of them, the Ramada is the only one not to charge for parking, but the hotels that charge have secure parking. It was usually about $8 a day for guests.

Hope this helps.
