San Diego - Breakfast

Does anyone have any good suggestions for a great breakfast place in La Jolla, close to UCSD? Thanks.

In La Jolla, though not close to UCSD, is Brockton Villa. Great place for breakfast.

I second Barbara's choice. We took out-of-towners there over the weekend. Not only is the food great, but you overlook the La Jolla Cove and you are located about 200 yds from a seal beach. Try the French Toast. You're about 10 mins from the university. There just is not too much that can be recommended close to UCSD for the morning.

In downtown LJ, The Cottage is at 7702 Fay Avenue with a sunny patio and coffee cake to die for.

We love Harry's coffee shop. Great, great food, huge selection. You can also have lunch food if you want, like a pastrami sandwich or something. They are very accomodating there and aim to please. Also have healthy choices and low fat, fresh items. Used to not be my fav, but for food, service and very little wait, it is a great standby.
