San Diego Birthday
 

Will be a birthday tourist in San Diego last week of March and will be staying on Coronado. Need something special to celebrate the wife's birthday. Have already done the Hornblower dinner (execelent). Would like someplace to dine with atmosphere or some type of one day excursion (can cover from SD to LA). Thank you so much for your help.

rent a car (from a company that allows you to go to mexico) enjoy the beautiful drive down to rosarito beach and spend some time waundering the town. then drive a little further south to puerto nuevo, pick a restaurant with an ocean view and enjoy a sunset dinner there. nice little village.
tiawana is actually pretty easy to drive through, just get good directions from the hotel or visitor information.

how about a bi-plane ride over the beach at Carlsbad Ca- if you check out the Carlsbad Visitors and Convention website - you find info on it - I believe they do a romance package

Try Peohe's for dinner. It's located at the ferry landing in Coronado.
