San Diego Beach Hotels
 

My husband and I will be in San Diego for the first weekend in Feb. I am looking for a hotel near beach that has restaurants and bars within walking distance. Any suggestions?

The first to come to almost anyone's mind would be the Hotel del Coronado. Also, La Jolla Shores Hotel and La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, L'Auberge del Mar in Del Mar, Tower 23 Hotel in Pacific Beach. All are good hotels, right on the beach and easy walking distance to bars and restaurants.

Another nice place to stay is the Catamaran Hotel in Pacific Beach. It is on Mission Bay and across the street from the ocean.

Catamaran is nice. We have also stayed across the street, on the beach at the Blue Sea.
