San Antonio restaurants

Hi everyone,
My wife and I will be going to San Antonio April 25 for 6 days. We will catch the last bit of Fiesta and would appreciate some tips for the weekend and some restaurant ideas.
We are staying at the Westin Riverwalk.
Thanks.

If I remember right there is a great Mexican Restaurant in the Market called La Margarita. I highly recommend it.

.....isn't there a place in the Market Place called "Mi Tiara"? They also sell Mexican pastries.

Actually the spelling is Mi Tierra -- a little touristy but fun. For splurges, try Biga on the Banks or Le Reve (possibly La Reve) -- named best French restaurant in Texas last year by Gourmet Magazine. Rio Rio has huge platters of delicious Mexican food on the Riverwalk. For the weekend, if you have a car, consider driving 1 1/2 hours northwest to Fredricksburg, a very quaint German town with tons of atmostphere and shopping. A great place to eat lunch there is the Peach Tree Inn. Enjoy!

I gave the wrong name. It's the Peach Tree Tearoom, not Inn, in Fredricksburg.

If you need a break from Mexican food, there's Shilohs, a German Deli (on Commerce St.?) Great sandwiches and cheesecake.

On the Riverwalk, we enjoyed the Little Rhine Steakhouse for a nice evening out- tables outside are terraced, very nice and romantic. Also Boudro's (not sure spelling is correct). More eclectic, but excellent. I would recommend trying to get reservations at both if you plan to go.
