San Antonio -cab fare from airport to Riverwalk

I am thinking about joining my husband at the end of a business trip in San Antonio and would like to know the best way to get from the airport to the Riverwalk area. If a cab is the best choice, aproximately how much should the fare be? Thanks!

I believe we paid around$14/person for the shuttle round trip and cabs were something like $25 each way. These figures are approx. and depend on what area of Riverwalk as well.

Found these posted prices from 1999. They were the newest I could locate. I aws off somewhat on the taxi, but shuttle is still less money. Hope this helps.

Getting around in San Antonio
Airport to Downtown Transportation
Taxi fares - Airport to Marriott Rivercenter - Riverwalk
We quote $15-16 but average meter will be $13.80 - $14.80
1 to 4 passengers ride at same rate!!
(Source: Yellow Cab Company)

Our Hospitality Committee has arranged for two kiosks at the airport, one in each terminal. This contractor is SA Trans. They have booths at the airport located near the baggage claim area for each terminal. Rate is $8.00 for a one-way transfer to downtown, or $14.00 for a round trip. Buy your tickets on arrival. Arrange your return trip with your hotel or call (210) 281-9900 to schedule the return trip.
