Sam's Town or Orleans Hotel?

We are sending our parents away to Vegas and they like Sam's Town but I'm wondering if Orlean's Hotel and Casino is nicer. I know they like the idea of having lots to do and different places to eat. Any opinions would be helpful.
Thanks.

I'd pick Orleans hands down. Nicer and larger rooms(some with view of the strip), much better restaurants and closer to other casinos with a free shuttle to the strip. Tell them to try the Prime Rib Room.

(Sam's has gone downhill in the past few years in my opinion, both rooms and restaurants).

ditto to above. Orlean's is fine.

I am all ready to jump on the Orleans band wagon, then I read your post again....

Your parents are the ones going, they like Sams Town. You believe Orleans may be nicer. What do the parents think? It is very nice of you to send them on this trip but I would lean toward letting them do what they want. Perhaps it is a rut but it's their rut.

Orleans has a shuttle service to/from the Barbary Coast which is located right in the middle of the Strip. Think Bally's, Caesar's, Belligo (sp?), Paris. Sam's Town is really removed from the Strip.
