Salt Lake swimming

Anyone been swimming/floating in the Great Salt Lake? I've always thought it would be fun and will be in the area this summer. Any experiences to share? Thanks.

I hope to try it also this year. I think that Antelope Island State Park seems to be a good place to do it.

It's very very salty (I'm not trying to be a butt head). I found it rather interesting but nothing to extreme or memorable.

As a local I can tell you to enjoy the lake without the swim. This is definately a local's tradition. The great Salt Lake has amazing views and I would suggest going as sunset for one of the great experiences of Utah. Email me for more advice...
