Salons in SF
 

Does anyone have any experience with salons in or around the Fisherman's Wharf area? I'm not looking for anything upscale, just someplace where I can get an updo - my husband's company is having their winter party in SF next month, so we are making a weekend out of it and I want to get my hair done before the party.

Go to Union Street...close by and very nice, upscale salons rather than those cheapie icky places on every corner.

I use to go to a place across from the Embarcadero Hyatt on Market street. I think the name is Diva. Ask for Diva, she is an artist with thick wavy hair. I do not know if she does up-do's. All the girls are good there. Someone might. It is a nice place and not cheap, but not out of control.

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon &amp; Spa on Post Street, might just be just what you are looking for. If you are there on a Sunday or Monday ask for Alison.
