Salmon fishing in Portland, Oregon

We are planning a trip to Portland Oregon in November. I booked a salmon fishing trip through Columbia River Sport Fishing. Has anyone done this? Is it worth the bucks? Any tips?

There are some great fishing guides around here. I don't know about the company you mention, so can't comment on that. DH and DS went out on the Columbia with guides (group event, lots of boats/guides) a week ago and lots of fish were caught. DS brought home a nice 25 pound chinook! Worth the money...depends, if you like to fish, then yes

I don't know about the company you mentioned, but my son went fishing on the Columbia Friday and brought home a very nice Coho salmon. My husband and son have done very well with the fishing this year. Good luck, and hope you catch a nice big one!

If you are touring and have no kitchen, is there someplace that will cook your fish for you?
