sailing in San Francisco Bay

My husband and I will be in SF on Friday and Saturday, the 12 and 13th of September. Soon!! Does anyone know how to get on a sailboat, with a captain, in SF bay. We are sailors, but we don't want to captain a boat ourselves. We did it many years ago and it was great. I think we just found someone at the wharf

There used to be a ship called the "Ruby" that sailed out of China Basin. They did lunch and cocktail trips under the bay bridge down to Alcatraz and back.

My niece and I just got back from SF and hopped on one of the boats docked at Fisherman's Wharf. We originally had intended to bike the bridge, but changed our minds because of time concerns. An added incentive was they would validate our parking which would have cost us $30 for the day. I'm happy we did it, but it was very cold, choppy and windy that day. They did provide blankets however. Googling "sailboat charter sf bay" brings up a lot ot private sailboat charters as well.

I think OCSC Sailing captained charters, they are located in Berkeley.

Are you looking to just crew for someone?

It's been years since I've been on the Bay, but maybe contacting one of the yacht clubs and asking if you could crew for someone might be the best way.

So many good ideas, thanks. We can work on them tomorrow. Arriving SF very late tomorrow and staying over the weekend. Kinda late, I know.
