Sagamore Hotel- Miami anyone?

Has anyone stayed at the Sagamore Hotel in South Beach? I got a great deal for a room in August (low season, I know).

It is such a cheap price, I am getting worried ($99/nt). I know there is construction at the Ritz Carlton next door (but I think it willbe over by then). I have stayed at the Loews (rooms were too small- pool was great) and was thinking of staying at The Hotel. Delano rooms were too small, and Shore Club was a little far from Ocean Drive (and the hotel is a bit too industrial).

Any tips/comments on Sagamore rooms and hotel?

THANKS!

The rate you're getting is stunning. This is a freshly-renovated property, and it has been branded as a super-luxo hotel. I would assume it's that low to get bodies into the hotel more than anything else. The buzz I've heard has been excellent.

Very nice hotel. $99 seems almost too good to be true. Beautiful art, great location. A good deal at twice that price.

Where did you get that price? I was thinking about staying there for my honeymoon at the same time.

I got it at Quikbook.com.
Unbelievable deals there.

Anyone know what the pool is like at the Sagamore? The rooms?

Thanks.

I also have a reservation for the Sagamore next month for $99 through Quikbook. When I called the hotel directly to confirm they indeed had my reservation, turns out the Quikbook rooms are on the side of the construction. However, I told the man on the phone I didn't care what I paid, my main concern was sleep, and he said he would put for me to be upgraded to another room if there was availability upon my arrival. So my suggestion would be to call and ask if you can be upgraded to a room away from the construction. Also saw some great reviews of the hotel on tripadvisor.com and travelocity.

also forgot to mention, you can check a lot of photos and info on their web site, www.sagamorehotel.com which should give you an idea of the rooms and pool area.
