Sad news about Lori

I got some really sad news this week about Lori that posts here alot and is very helpful especially for Vegas and London. Her husband called and said she had a heart attack last week and died. I met her here on this website 7 years ago and she has helped me with alot of information for trip planning and we became good friends. She will be missed. I plan to post this on the Europe site also.

Sheila1954: I am so sorry to hear about your friend, Lori. Please tell Lori's husband that all of Lori's friends here are missing Lori. We are thinking about Lori's husband & his family as they struggle to make sense of this. One day at a time...

Lori also gave a lot of good advice for Hawaii.

She will be missed.

Thanks for posting Sheila . . . I, too, met Lori here on this board about 5 years ago when I was planning a trip to London and inquiring about an apartment.

We immediately became fast friends and emailed every couple of days. I did not hear from her last week and just passed it off to her catching back up from a trip to Las Vegas. My heart just about broke when John called and told me the bad news.

I am missing her terribly.

So sorry to hear about Lori. She always gave help -

The last time was when we went to Vegas in Dec for my b-day and she gave me really good advice - saved me money and time.
So many posts over the years - & such a nice person.

My heartfelt sympathy to her family. She will be missed by Fodorites.

I know it is so sad that I just can't get over it. Sandy, I was in such shock that I forgot to ask about services, etc. Did John tell you anymore than it was a heart attack? I was driving and in shock and I didn't ask many questions. I am going to wait a couple of weeks and call and check on him.
She was such a sweet lady to swap emails with. Did any of you ever meet her in person? I had planned to but just didn't get around to it and now I am sorry.
I plan to send John a card and I will tell him how much everyone is missing her here on Fodors.

sheila,

Sorry, I don't know about services . . . he called me late Sat. night and I was so addled/upset, that I didn't feel comfortable asking for details.

I do think it was a big shock and completely unexpected . . . I know she was slim, ate right, exercised daily, had regular checkups, was happy . . . John said it was massive and nothing anyone could do.

I know that's the way she would want to go but it is so hard on those of us left, those of us who will miss her.
