Sacramento restaurant

Can anyone recommend a very good restaurant for a celebration that includes seafood and vegetarian dishes for a group of 7? (Moderate under $25-30 per entree)

Biba is a fantastic restaurant. Many dishes are seafood especially the specials. Those who prefer vegetarian can order the pasta dishes that do not contain meat. Here's a link:

Esquire Grill is very good as well.

The Firehouse in Old Sac is lovely:

Is La Boheme still around? Always had great food and service there.

Lucca's on J St. Italian...fish and veggies, too.

Any of Fat's restaurants (Chinese).

Tower Cafe on Broadway.

Other Paragary Restaurants like the mentioned Esq Grill are good, too.
His new restaurant, "Spataro's" recently opened and we can't wait to try it.

**oh nooooo*** who am I sounding like LOL!! :-D

Huki Lau is pretty good.

We ate at Celestin's a few weeks ago during the Jazz Jubilee and it was still outstnding Caribbean. Excellent gumbos, seafood and veggie dishes.
Had the spicy sweet potato fries for an appie. **oh no...again***

Moxie's will make you anything...and they will make if BIG! ((Y))=P~

My wife has another business meeting in SF but I'm skipping this time, disgusted by CA's fondness for Michael Jackson and OJ.

Yawnboring - that is really a stretch! not all California is happy about MJ and OJ. Remember about 80% of California residents came from other states. You have to look hard to find a native

Yawn, thanks for staying home this trip. California thanks you.

Last time we were in Sacramento we ate at a place called the Broiler. It's a steak place but they had some great seafood dishes and I has a prawn risotto that was to die for.

Seamus,
La Boheme in Fair Oaks is still open and is my DH's absolute favorite restaurant.

LoveItaly Jun 16th, 2005 12:31 PM

Well gang, I am a native of California, going back generations and I will say I am totally disgusted with OJ and MJ. Please don't think all of us native's think alike. Thank you, LOL! PS. At least Scott Peterson is locked away, so sometimes the juries get it right.

Kal Jun 17th, 2005 03:05 PM

I don't think I recall OJ or MJ ever eating in a Sac-town restaurant.

Peterson may have on one of his many trips to Paris.

LoveItaly Jun 17th, 2005 04:20 PM

Kal, LOL. I don't think Peterson could even remember where he has been due to all the stories he had to keep telling.
