Count DH and I in.

mjs Jan 9th, 2008 06:54 PM

I have meetings in San Francisco on Feb 2 and 9 so will be unable to come but I am sure you will all have a great time. Cheers!

FainaAgain Jan 10th, 2008 10:06 AM

May I bring a friend? She's my real life friend, not a Fodorite, lives in Sacramento, and would love to meet my "crazy imaginary friends" :))

janisj Jan 10th, 2008 05:02 PM

She probably wants to come to protect you from those internet axe murderers :)

Sure, she is welcome.

easytraveler Jan 10th, 2008 06:46 PM

Is she going to ride with you, tied down atop the roof of the car? :)

FainaAgain Jan 10th, 2008 07:58 PM

ET, this was funny the first 10 times only.

toedtoes Jan 10th, 2008 08:44 PM

Faina - I bet it will be funny the 13th time again... it's just the 11th and 12th time that it isn't funny. :)

easytraveler Jan 10th, 2008 08:57 PM

Sorry, Faina! Just a bit of light ribbing.

Won't mention it again! :(

Janis, no, I think she wants to protect everybody from me :))

So... what's the date? February 9 lunch? Kal is back, I know!

cobbie Jan 20th, 2008 03:55 PM

Janis - Any decision on where we are dining on Sat. Feb. 9??

Trying to keep it casual/"lunchey" and economical, I was thinking about either the Streets of London at 18th and J http://www.streetsoflondon.net/

or maybe Pyramid Brewing on K St

Any other ideas?

janisj Jan 21st, 2008 11:55 AM

Let's get some numbers - we have a loose (meant in the nicest possible way :) ) list already but let's start an actual sign up.

Does anyone have a preference re The Streets of London, or Pyramid Brewery -- or have another suggestion?

Lunch, Saturday, Feb 9.

paula1470 Jan 21st, 2008 01:03 PM

Well you can count me in. I made my appointment with my client for Fri, Feb 8th so will be in Sacramento. They are in Roseville but I will probably stay downtown somewhere since I have another client to see on J Street.

Looked at both menus-I would be more partial to Pyramid Brewery but it doesn't matter to me.

paula1470: You are counted :) Terrific.

Just got an e-mail from Kal. He votes for Pyramid too.

He also wanted your e-mail address. Unfortunately I don't have yours and I guess you don't have his . . . . Do you have LoveItaly's, Faina's or anyone else who might be able to hook you up??

paula1470 Jan 21st, 2008 03:48 PM

janis-I can get Kal's email from Faina. I am looking forward to meeting all the Sacramento Fodorites and seeing all my SF friends again.

Shanti Jan 21st, 2008 06:04 PM

I also vote for the Pyramid Brewery.

Looking forward to finally meeting other Fodorites!

LoveItaly Jan 21st, 2008 08:20 PM

Hi janisj, since I cannot drive on the freeway now, I will not be able to attend. But I sure wish all of you a wonderful time!
