What is the weather like in November? Am thinking of going to LA and then drive to San Diego. Thanks.

Rosa, <BR>When in November will you be in LA? The weather is usually fine all month long, but as for driving from LA to San Diego, be aware that if you do it around the busy travel time of Thanksgiving, it can take 5 hrs or more for that drive, if you do it on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Not that you shouldn't do it, just be aware it may take longer.

Rosa, <BR> <BR>Grew up in S CA and visited my parents regularly. One recent Thanksgiving we sat by the pool and drank margaritas while the kids swam. If you're from a cooler climate you may find it unusally warm for that time of year.

The weather in November is usually pretty mild. There may be an occasion shower, but not often. <BR> <BR>The Santa Anas (strong, hot wind) usually start up around November, leaving So Calif clear, hot, and very dry for several days. <BR> <BR>Still it may be on the cool side, so the best bet is to keep an eye on the weather conditions a few days before you leave. <BR>

My recollection of the years i lived in so cal was that the winter storms always started the week before thanksgiving, making it cold and wet

I grew up in Southern Calif and visit still. They get 10 inches of rain a year, so the odds of it raining are pretty slim. What they call a downpour is what most places call a drizzle. At Thanksgiving in San Diego,we always took a photo outside. We have years of us in shorts and shortsleeves. <BR>have fun!
