S.Beach w/ 12 yr old?

Might be a silly question but is it appropriate to take a 12 yr old to the 100 Collins area in S. Beach for a week around New Years? Beach, Restaurants, walking at night? As opposed to F. Lauderdale or Miami? Thanks !

Yes it is appropriate but South Beach is an adult venue.

You will definitely see women topless on the beach. You will also see thongs. You will see alternative lifestyles. These are the norm and not the exception.

I think a twelve year old would be bored in South Beach.

"GoTravel".......Thank you as that is exactly what I was looking to find out. We'll save that destination for another year down line.

Personally, I probably wouldn't. Like GoTravel said, lots of people in various states of dress and undress.

Hmmmmmmmmm "various states of dress".
Someday I'll have to get there.

(but not with a 12 yr old :)
