?'s about New Orleans, please help!
 

Hi! We will be travelling to New Orleans mid February to go on a cruise and I was wondering what the weather will be like? We are coming from Canada, and right now it is around -40 degrees celsius! So please let me know! Thanks! And we are only there for one day one night, what should we do????

It really can be anywhere from freezing to short-sleeve weather in February. You'll need to check one of the internet's many weather sites.

As for things to do, there are too many to list. What do you like? Where are you staying?

We are staying at the ultra cool Hotel Monaco!

For one day in New Orleans, try the foloowing (this will make for a hectic day, but it IS do-able):
1) have breakfast at Cafe du Monde. It will be crowded, but you'll remember the fresh beignets forever.
2) wander around Jackson Square
3) take the Saint Charles trolley out to the Garden District, getting off wherever it looks nice, and wander around for awhile. Take the trolley back when done.
4) have lunch at the Central Grocery, eating an original mufuletta sandwich.
5) munch on a praline still warm from the vat.
6) join the sing-along at Pat O'Briens. If you want to remember what city you're waking up in the next morning, better have a Virgin Hurricane.
7) wander the French Quarter, and in particular Bourbon Street, stopping in any bar or restaurant that suits your fancy. Be prepared for sticker shock at the bill; NO isn't cheap.

ultra-cool? That's a new one for the Monaco! It's nice but fortunately doesn't go for that hip factor that the W Hotels try for.
