RV trip from Vegas

We are flying this summer to Las Vegas and have rented an RV from CruiseAmerica out of Henderson. Since we are flying we will be limited in camping supplies, such as chairs and other camping essentials. We know we can purchase these items at a local WalMart but we are curious what people do with the supplies they have purchased at the end of a trip. Does anyone know of any exchange system that happens between families starting and ending their trips. It seems wasteful to leave these supplies in dumpsters at end of trip.

From what I posted on your other thread:

>>Are you 100% sure you want to RV in the desert in summer? Temps well over 110F / 43C are typical.

FWIIW . . . I'd never EVER trash them. If no one knows about a swap program, there are charities and food banks that can give them to homeless clients.<<

Consider donating the gear here:

Go to Goodwill first. http://www.goodwill.vegas/
Whatever you can't find there, buy at Walmart or Costco.
Donate back to Goodwill at the end of your trip. At least some of it is tax deductable.

1390 American Pacific Dr. Henderson, NV. How are you getting from the Las Vegas airport to Henderson?

If your stay is for a few months or less it makes more sense to rent your chairs and other camping supplies from the same place as your RV, instead of buying them. Many but not all rental places offer these other supplies. If yours doesn't, call camping supply companies in the same area.

If buying this gear is really the best and easiest option for you, ask your RV rental center about disposal methods after your visit. They've probably been asked the same question by others, and some offer disposal service for a small fee or sometimes no extra fee.

We were planning on taking a taxi or car service from airport to Henderson. And getting out supplies at the super Walmart in Henderson after picking up the RV. We are open to suggestions if there is a better way
