Has anyone gone to the Ruth Chris Steakhouse in San Francisco? Looking for a good steak......

I have been to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on Van Ness sveral times and though that both the food and service were great. I would rank it as one of the best steak restaurants in San Francisco.

It's very good, I really like it. If you're still deciding, you might also want to look into Harris' about 10 blocks north on Van Ness, as well as Morton's down in the Theater District.

Before you go to one of these "chain" restaurants, try Alfred's. It's been around a long time, located in the middle of the financial district, and has the best steak I've ever had. A SF tradition.

I agree with Len - Alfred's is great! Didn't try steak myself, but we had a business lunch, everybody ordered something different, and everybody said it was great.

I second Harris's found it better that Ruth Chris's.
