No contest! The Halekulani hands down. This superb hotel is completely unlike any other in Waikiki. Quiet, refined and so luxurious! Never any big corwds or groups and everything perfect. The rooms are certainly not enormous, but you won't care because they are gorgeously decorated with every conceivable amenity and luxury. Pool is quiet and tranquil, retaurants superb and the overall atmosphers is winningly elegant yet casual and very very freindly. You'll love it!

I believe you should go stay at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki. It's right in the middle of Waikiki and within walking distance to anywhere around the beach. It's a beautiful, unique, pink hotel and the workers are very hospitable. I used to work there. The rooms are kind of small but you'll love the location, the beauty, and the surroundings.

Halekulani is every tropical hotel you've ever dreamed of - only better! Don't even consider the Royal Hawaiian unless you can save a LOT of money by staying there instead!
