Royal Grove Hotel verses Waikiki Prince Hotel
We can get Royal Grove for $450.00 week or Waikiki Prince for $420.00 per week. Both in Waikiki late November - early December. I would be interested in your comments of pro's and con's of each. Or other ideas.
Thanks again Warren |
Warren, Are you sure the Royal Grove actually has availability? I think it looks like a great budget choice, but it's so popular I've yet to be able to get a reservation for my travel dates.

I do not know anything about Waikiki Prince except for the location. It is close to Royal Grove, both are a block or so from the beach.
Royal Grove has no parking, but you can park at a nearby hotel garage. Waikiki Prince has limited parking for $10/day. You need to make advanced reservations to get the parking. Both are old buildings. Lots of good comments on the forums about Royal Grove. http://www.wizardpub.com/oahu/oahaerials.html http://royalgrovehotel.com/ http://www.waikikiprince.com/ |
I booked The Royal Grove about 2 months ago for Dec 2009 but may cacell and go for Waikiki Prince.

As Dusty said they are fairly close to each other only about a half block away and close to the beach.
The Prince as stated does have limited parking underneath the hotel and the Royal Grove has a swimming pool and beach toys could be a trade off. We have stayed at the Grove a few times and have no problem going back there. One more thing is Tuesday night is music night in the lobby so if you can sing, dance or play a guitar or ukelele or just sit back and enjoy the tunes. |
Why are you thinking of cancelling the Royal Grove? Just curious because I'm considering staying there soon.
|
Some other forums state that the Prince has new paint and carpet in the last 3 or 4 years and some have talked about musty smells at Royal Grove. I really don't know which to pick.
