Route to Virginia Beach from Toronto Canada

Does anyone have any advice on the best route from Toronto to Virginia Beach?

I would follow the general route that most online mapping sites will give you, which is:

- QEW to Niagara Falls/Buffalo
- I-90 West to Erie, PA
- I-79 South to just before Pittsburgh
- I-76/Pennsylvania Turnpike East to Breezewood, PA
- I-70 East to Hancock, MD

From there, instead of taking I-70/270 through Washington, DC, I will do this instead:

- US522 South to VA37 South (just before Winchester) to I-81 South
- I-66 East to Exit 28 (US17 South)
- US17 South to I-95

Then follow the mapping route again I-95 S to I-295 around Richmond, and then I-64 East to Virginia Beach.
