Roseville restaurants

Once again, my daughter's U11 soccer team is sojourning in parts unknown (Roseville) for a tournament. Need recommendations for a good buffet or a restaurant that can accommodate forty people. Thanks a mil.

Which state? California, Michigan...?

Tandoori_Girl Sep 3rd, 2004 07:51 PM

Ohio?

I posted this under California heading.
Thanks

Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on your perspective) all US posts go into the same board. The state designations are just for text searches when people are trying to find out something about a particular location. So, even when you designate a post as a California post, it gets mixed in with all the rest of the US posts.

That said, the only things I can think of in Roseville are an Applebee's and I think there is a casino out that way. Roseville has grown up quite a bit in the past decade or so as a bedroom community to Sacramento. I am sure it has a bunch of the standard chain places that are all over the suburbs of America.

40 people - wow! There is a Brookfields, which is large, good and has a varied menu (good for all ages) here in Roseville. Others include, Black Angus, Claim Jumpers, Applebees, Chevys, Buca Di Beppo, Old Spaghetti Factory (all chains) You can find a list at http://www.partyfoothills.com/roseville.html or http://roseville.ca.dinerate.com/
Hope you all enjoy your stay in Roseville.

Does Buck Yee's Chinese Smorgy still exist in nearby Citrus Heights? In my college days, ski buds and I used to "eat hearty" here after a hard day's skiing.

So is the tourny at Maidu? If so the nearby restaurants are:

Brand new Applebees (good lord) at Douglas and Sierra College. This is fairly close to Maidu.

At the large Target Center at Rocky Ridge and Douglas there is Chevys and Godfathers.

At the Borders Center at Rocky Ridge and Douglas is Dos Coyotes and Fresh Choice.

South on Sunrise just past Oak Ave towards the Mall you'll pass Hometown Buffet and Sunshine Chinese Buffet.

ZZ, If you're talking about the Chinese smorgy on Auburn Blvd (Riverside Blvd in Roseville turns in to Auburn Blvd once it goes into Sac Co.), yes it's still open.

Since I'm not a soccer parent, can I assume "U11" means "under 11"?

Yep. Lotta chains in Roseville. And the few good "indies" may not be suited for 40 people all at once.

Are you at Maidu or Mahany? Maidu is on the rich side of town...Mahany is on my poor side of the tracks.;)

LOL Kal. The real estate prices are crazy high all over town. There is no rich or poor side in Roseville. And isn't the whole Mahany sports complex just outstanding? ;)
