rooms at foxwoods or mohegan sun?

which one has nicer rooms? has anyone stayed at both recently and can tell me which one is better and cleaner?

I have only stayed at Foxwoods in a tower room and it was beautiful. The room is spacious, the bathroom is huge! the view was great, you could see for miles and miles.
Problem is though, we like the casino at Mohegan Sun better -

Some Foxwoods rooms (there are three separate hotels) are better than Mohegan Sun, some are not quite as nice even though close. If you want to save money, stay at neither - there are plenty of nice rooms just north of Mystic.

what are you looking for.. guilded rooms I believe the one at mohegan is new, but that means notheing.. it kind of seems as if your leaning tored the mohegan anyways, so take it..
i'm not looking for guilded rooms-but i stayed at the taj mahal in AC 2 yrs ago and it was gross-dirty and old. i'm looking for nothing UNLIKE that.

cherie, they just built the mohegan sun hotels, they will be new and most likely very nice.
The Foxwoods room that we stayed in was very very nice and that was about 2 years ago.
If money means nothing-just book the biggest room in the hotel that appeals most to you.
For what it's worth, although the room was great, we would never go back to Foxwoods. The rest of the hotel was mediocre, the restaurants were not very good at all. The casino stunk!
If I may join in the questions here...
we are also thinking of going to Foxwoods and/or Mohegan Sun. You say the casino at Foxwoods stunk....how about the Mohegan Sun casino. I had read that it was better than Foxwoods. Do you have any info on it? Thanks

I have been to the Mohegan Sun a few times , just for the day. The casino is very nice, high ceilings, so they aren't too smokey. The restaurants are all pretty good. The have big Bingo games where people win a LOT of money:)
It is bright and cheerful and you can also win pretty well on the slots.
My husband and his nephew both won a few hundred dollars playing blackjack.
At Foxwoods, small casino, smokey, noisy, nothing paid, huge bingo games in the mornings. I think if you just put Mohegan Sun in your search engine you might get their site.Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I did check out the website and it does look decent. I was just hoping it wasnt deceiving:) as the Foxwoods looked decent as well. I think we will stick with the Mohegan Sun. Thanks again.
