Rooms at Bally's Las Vegas

I just booked a room at Bally's for the weekend of Oct 10-12. I got what I think is a pretty good rate (less than any I saw on the net) at $119.00 per night. I enjoy reading the message board and have seen lots of folks discussing particular rooms and towers at some of the LV hotels. All I requested was King, Non-smoking. Should I ask for a special section? Is that done now or when I get to the hotel?

I think the rooms at either tower in Bally's are pretty much the same. The decor is pretty standard, but the rooms are quite large.

Actually, unless that's a holiday weekend (is it Columbus Day weekend?), that seems pretty high to me. I've never paid more than $89 at any hotel in LV, even on a weekend! I'd say keep shopping and cancel Bally's if you can find better.

We paid that same rate for a Sat. night for one of Bally's new tower rooms. The room was nice, but the bathroom wasn't any nicer than their older rooms. At least Bally's is connected to The Paris which helped b/c it was 114 when we were there and we didn't want to walk outside anymore than we had to. It was also 90 at night. But, I think the weather there has been cooler since we returned. You could try to get one of Bally's standard rooms for a lower rate.

Marcia,

Hi,
I actually thought your rate sounded high to me, so I plugged in some dates on other travel sites and was surprised...
Expedia, $199/night
Travelocity $169/night
Lowestfares $169/night
Cheaprooms $169/night
Ballys own site $180/night

So you did good :)

Wait until you get to the hotel to request an upgrade, no need to "slip" any $, your best bet is to be polite, excited and friendly, I have found that by being genuine I have always recieved upgrades when available

:)Ruby
