ROOM ONLY: 4S Hualalei or 4S Maui?
 

Which is better?

The room. Size, decor, character, any special touches?

The view. Ocean, Garden, Mountain for each.

Hualalai.

Hmmm...Hualalai wins on every interior count in my book, but Maui FS has better beach and access to adjacent resources (food, shopping, Lahaina reasonable drive) while Hualalai is very isolated, which can be a pro or con.

Hual. has slate floorsand newer interior decoration, 4S Maui has carpet and the furniture is more worn and dated. Every room at Hual. has an ocean view, the lowest tier being golf/ocean. Hual. has private outdoor showes for lower floor rooms, and 4S Maui does not. If price is not a consideration the BI is nicer.

One more vote for Hualalei - the absolute most fabulous place I have ever stayed. Every room is oceanview and I loved the pools.
