Ronald Reagan to Dupont Circle

Hello!
Me and my boyfriend will be flying into Ronald Reagan National Airport and need to get to Jury's Washington Hotel in Dupont Circle. What is the best way to get there? Should be take a cab or is there a metro or shuttle from the airport that goes into the area? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

If you won't have much luggage (eg: 1 bag each) you could go all the way by Metro, but it would require a change from Blue or Yellow (both serve DCA) to the Red Line, at Gallery Place (Yellow/Red) or MetroCenter (Blue/Red).

Or take Blue to Foggy Bottom and taxi from there. DCA is close enough that you even might wish to spend the extra $$ to taxi from the airport - although I'd take Metro if at all possible.

There is a subway stop right AT Reagan Airport - you don't even go outside. The subway is $1.75/person and you would need to switch to the Red Line at either Metro Center (if you get on a blue train at the airport) or Gallery Place (if you get on a yellow train at the airport). Either train - it's a little less than 30 minutes from the airport to the Dupont metro stop (which is right across Dupont circle from your hotel.

A taxi is about $15 and takes about 15 minutes, depending on the time of day.

Taxis from National Airport have a tendancy to take advantage of tourists. Not all, but it does happen fairly often. I'd take the metro.

Since the metro is outside, I'm not entirely sure how bardo1 is getting to the stop without going outside. But it's well marked, and there is a walkway to the entrance.

And while I won't argue about the full name of the airport any more (I have to get on with life), I HAVE to take issue with anyone just calling it Reagan Airport. If you're going to shorten it, it's National.

Yes, yes, yes - the connector is indoors but the platform IS outside (and covered). I suppose I was trying to convey that if it's raining, you can get from your plane to the train and not have to worry about weather.

Yes, NATIONAL AIRPORT. Ask locals about "Reagan Airport" and they'll do a double take or two.
