Romantic weekend in Baltimore ?
 

Our 10th anniversary is coming up at the end of September and I found a getaway package at the Radisson in Cross Keys. We think we will eat dinner at the hotel on Friday night, but are looking for suggestions for the rest of the weekend. We think we will sightsee a little bit (have already seen the aquarium and Camden Yards. We would rather use the hotel shuttle than try to drive/park in Inner Harbor, so timing could be an issue. Any help on good (but not overly expensive) restaurants or things to do would be appreciated.

Take a water taxi and go to Fells Point. There are some great Italian places there.

Take the water taxi to Fells Point. If you like mussels, try Bertha's. "Eat Bertha's Mussels" is their slogan. If you take the water taxi to get there, they have a coupon for a free pint when you order their mussels.

Maybe they will have a Raven's pre-season game your weekend. ((b))

I second Amicci's in Little Italy, then walk to Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop for dessert!

The American Visionsry Arts Museum is on Key Highway on the Federal Hill Side of the harbor, and if you continue less than a mile south on Key Highway the Baltimore Museum of Industry is one of our favorites and right next to a great restaurant, Little Havana.

If you find yourself in Mt. Vernon, about a 15-20 walk from the harbor up Charles St., try the Helmand (Afghan) or Akbar (Indian). They're both good and very reasonable.

I second the Helmand and Akbar..reasonable and great food. Make reservations at the Helmand.
