Romantic restaurants in New Orleans

My husband and I will be in New Orleans next month and are looking for recommendations for a beautiful, romantic restaurant
Thanks!

We went to Muriel ' s for our anniversary dinner - it was perfect. The restaurant is really neat - very romantic with lots of character. The food is great and the staff does a nice job.

Bayona!

If you've not made your hotel reservation yet, and want a very romantic option...

The Hermann House rooms at the Dauphine Orleans.

Steps away from Bayona. As in about 15 steps.
The Dauphine Orleans is a good hotel option, but the Hermann House rooms are in a private courtyard, across the street. There's a locked gate to the courtyard, a fountain bubbling away and fourteen king rooms in a private, secluded area. I like the second floor rooms with the vaulted ceilings and exposed brick wall. Just very nice. And then the most romantic restaurant I know of in NOLA is steps away. Enjoy!

Commander's Palace
Clancy's

Both are bit out of the FQ but a lovely travel to get to either and wonderful food and atmosphere.

BTW - You need reservations at almost all places - especially if it's 2/14!!

We used to entertain large groups (VIP customers) at commanders Palace and probably because of that I don't think of it as romantic. It's very loud. Lots of tourists. But do take a taxi if you go out that far. Have a great trip!

I've enjoyed many romantic dinners in the Garden Room at Commander's Palace. Bayona is also quite beautiful. And, they both have great food. Go to both!

We ate in the Garden Room, it was lovely. Funny story; we showed up for our reservation and they couldn't find it! They finally figured out we had shown up a day early! They were nice enough to get us seated fairly quickly. I then had to cancel our reservation that was actually for THAT night and rebook for next night. All worked out.

FWIW, we took the Street car and walked the rest of the way. It was in November and was a nice walk. I know some folks don't like to walk a bit off the beaten path, but it was safe and pleasant.

Another recommendation for Bayona

A Sunday brunch suggestion -

The Sunday jazz brunch at Arnaud's.

For a lunch option, consider Remoulade, Arnaud's casual dining option -

One day I'm going to dine in the Rex room at Antoine's -

If you are out and about during the day and want to stop for a drink or a bite to eat, consider the Hermes Bar -

The two restaurants have been open for 174 and 175 years. I'm not saying they are the "best" or the most romantic, but I will always return. When I think "New Orleans", dinners at these two come to mind.
