Romantic meal in Las Vegas

Hello - We are getting married in the Little White Chappel in Oct 2001, and would like to know if anyone has recommendations for a romantic meal afterwards (only the 2 of us !). Thanks.

Hello.
My husband and I always enjoy the Voodoo Cafe, which is really romantic, as it's on the 50th floor of the Rio Hotel, and has a very nice menu, and then you can go out on the balcony after dark and view the Strip. Really spectacular. It's actually on the formal side. Don't let the term "Cafe"
throw you. There are many nice restaurants at the Rio. I also hear Bellagio has some great restaurants.

Not as flashy as the newer Strip places--in fact, not flashy at all. Hugo's Cellar--underneath the casino in the Four Queens, downtown--is really romantic. Fodor's calls the menu "Contemporary," but I think it's more Continental. Anyway, it's plush, quiet, and sophisticated. Great food--veal, steaks, some seafood. The salad presentation is really great: the waiter prepares it at the table. Great wine list. Nice place.

Zagat rated MICHAELS as the number one hotel in Las Vegas. It is very charming and great food but very expensive. The service is just as fabulous as the food. It is located in the most unusual place....inside the Barbary Coast Hotel. If you can afford to go to Michaels (around $100 per person unless you go crazy with wine or cocktails)by all means GO. You must get a reservation first. Jose is the main maitrede and will try to accommodate you.

We enjoyed Aureole at the Mandalay Bay hotel. It was candlelit and the service was impeccable. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside near a relection pool. They have a fascinating wine tower in the restaurant and the stewards tether up it to retrieve your bottle.

I also agree with Michaels restaurant as the best restaurant...the best I've ever eaten at in my life. It was so romantic and the waiters and busboys are so attentive. You will not believe the presentation...everything is so first class! It's expensive but delicious and worth it for a special occassion. Marcie

I forgot to mention that Michaels is a very small and intimate restaurant. I don't think it seats more than around 50 people (?) and they only have 2 seatings a night (6:30 and 9:00 I believe.
