Romantic getaway in Florida, Georgia or North/South Carolina

Hi I am looking to take the wife away for a long weekend in late october early november and am looking for ideas for a roamntic weekend within a budget.
We would do walking nature or historic.

Would love a B&B but want to keep it $200 or less per night.

My thoughts were Savannah, St Simons, Key west or maybe a mountian cabin with a fireplace.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could probably do Savannah or Charleston within your budget. I'd lean towards Charleston - weather should be temperate for walking day or night and lots of cozy restaurants.

My guess is it would be difficult to find something under $200 in Savannah or Charleston in the historic areas. In Key West fantasy fest is around that time (Halloween) and also would be hard to find something in that range. You might be able to get a cabin in the mountains but that is prime leaf peeping season. You could also look at St. Augustine or Amelia Island (Fernandina Beach) in Florida for the best selection of B&B's.

I was thinking Amelia Island when I read the title. You might have to look around a bit to find a B&B under $200, but I think it would not be impossible.

This would be great but over your budget. They may offer lower rates in November. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call -

http://www.elizabethpointelodge.com/

The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island also has some great promo deals. Join their email list for notifications = or call and ask what their rates might be.

Savannah would be great. A mountain cabin would be great. Look at Brevard NC for some ideas.

A mountain B&B at that time would be nice--and past the leaf prime time. Look around Bryson City perhaps.
I think you'd find something in Charleston--maybe not a B&B but it would be a lovely little trip.

That time of year would be great on the coast or in the mountains. The leaves could be really good then. We love staying at The Crooked Oak Mountain Inn in Asheville. Ask for one of the rooms on the end. Perfect romantic setting, yet 10minutes from downtown. The Biltmore House will be decorated for Christmas beginning Nov 4 or so, and Candlelight tour start Nov 11.

Amelia Island or if you want to wait until November - ASheville. For Key West Thanksgiving is an ideal time. Where are you originating from & are you flying or driving. All could be very impactful on your cost.

You might be able to find a carriage house in Charleston for that price in November. Some of them are really cute.

You would have the run of Jekyll Island that time of year. Very peaceful. Take bikes and ride all over the island. Go to St. Simon. If you can drag yourself off of the island go to Savannah.
