romantic getaway in carmel area
what's your favorite bed and breakfast in the Carmel/Pacifc grove area? we are celebrating an anniversary in February/
|
We went to the Tickle Pink hotel. Great view & not too pricey. On the same grounds there is another really upscale hotel, the name escapes me, where you can have a lovely dinner. Congrats on making it another year.

The Green Lantern Inn in Carmel

THE GREEN GABLE INN or THE SEVEN GABLE INN will meet your criteria. Both are in Pacific Grove and both have views of Monterey Bay. Top it off with a dinner at Fandango's in PG and you have a winner!
Also check out ROY's at the Spanish Bay Resort. The bagpiper plays at sundown. Drinks on the terrace watching the bagpiper, then dinner inside at Roy's. hard to beat. P.S. I live in PG so may be a little biased to this great small town. |
Hi blancalita,
We stayed at the Tickle Pink Inn for our 20th anniversary in October and adored it! If you click on my screen name and scroll down you will find our trip report "20th Anniv TR Carmel" for details. Happy planning!! |
The Tickle Pink Inn is located on the Highland's Inn property. Pacific's Edge is the name of the formal restaurant (which is excellent.) California Market is the casual one. We recently had a very nice anniversary lunch at the CM. The fish tacos are my favorite!
Also in Pacific Grove is The White House. We had a very nice meal there a few weeks ago. A definite must! Bob 1 have you been yet? Roy's is also very nice as previously suggested. We have some great photos of the bagpiper. There is a little place called Portabella in downtown Carmel that we like for lunch. It's situated in a quaint cottage-looking building. Have a wonderful trip and happy anniversary!! The Old Bath House is also one of our favorites in PG. You will have a very nice water view from this place. ***kim*** |
