Romantic get away in Spokane??

I am in a long distance relationship with a woman that lives in Spokane WA. I am trying to find a nice weekend get away that is not too far from there. 1-2 hour driving time max. I am looking for a nice 5 star hotel or luxury spa. Does anyone have any suggestions, thank you.
mot

What about the Coeur D'Lane Resort? It's about a 30 minute drive from Spokane. They have a good website, although I don't have the address handy. We have not been there, but I did investigate it for an upcoming trip. We opted for a more reasonably priced B&B in the area instead. It be just what you are looking for.
My husband and I stayed at the Couer D'Lane Resort and LOVED it! The room was very nice and we had a great dinner in the restaurant there. We would go back any time we had the chance.

I second the Davenport recommendation. It's great!

Sounds like previous posters have suggested the two best alternatives. Your choice depends on your taste...the Coeur D'alene Resort is a modern high rise overlooking a lake and great mountain scenery, while the Davenport is a gloriously renovated, historic hotel in downtown Spokane. If your friend lives in Spokane, she is probably already familiar with both. My advice would be to check the web sites and see which appeals to you.

Another area that comes to mind is Sandpoint, Idaho...there are lots of nice B&B's there (though nothing of the 5-star variety), and it's a beautiful location as well.

I gather by now you realize that you have unintentionally created a new oxymoron.

They had twin girls who celebrated their 8th birthday on April 29, 2007.
