I'm with Patrick; Armani's at the top of the Westover Hyatt in Tampa, at sunset. Or, also at sunset, the Ritz in Naples...
|
Armani in the Hyatt is fabulous because fabulous people manage it and dine there. This restaurant is number one hands down in the entire Tampa/St. Pete area, and has a wine list to prove it. Their chef is reported to be the best in northwest FL.

I almost forgot: they have these really incredible foxes on the Hyatt property, near Armani, I believe the C variety is what they are called, and they are a very rare critter indeed. Apparently they dwell near fabulous italian restuarants, and presumably the pasta provides the fuel they need for boat work and Z maintenance, plus cat care. Thus Armani has beaucoup attribites to commend it, and for this reason is worthy of a visit, if not immediately, then sooner.

Romance? St. Augustine, hands down! No question! The oldest city has romance, romance, and more romance. Though "Spanish" in architecture, the flavor is verrry European. It boasts cobblestone streets throughout the downtown historic district, horses and carriages, bed and breakfasts (I agree with the previous post about staying at the Casablanca B&B-it's tops) which are right on the bayfront, a historic walking-only street, St. George Street with small shops (NOT Gap, Pottery Barn, Bath & Body works here!) and cafes, a working lighthouse, sailboats in the harbor and really top restaurants. Golly...what more could you ask for?!? Oh, if you do decide on the Casablanca...the two top front balcony (HUGE balcony) rooms which overlook the bayfront have those huge hammocks swinging in them. Best of luck to you, Kevin...hope she says YES!!!

Ooops...guess you've already popped the question. Sorry, I didn't see the date of your post. So WHERE did you go?
