Romantic Dinner on Maui

I know there are alot of Restaurants to choose from on Maui, but which one is the favorite to celebrate something special, the most romantic??? With great food of course.

Kathleen
Not sure this would top the list of romantic, but would highly recommend John Browns. It has been a few years since we were there, but my wife agreed it was the best place we ate. Food was very good and prices reasonable. Atmosphere was open (may be able to find a hiden corner).

May also want tocheck out the hotels. Many great hotel restaurants with shows.

Have a great time.
Greg

How about Carelli's on the Beach ?If you go, call for reservations and ask for a table by the ocean. It's Italian.
There's also Gerard's...wonderful food and very accomodating to vegetarians if that's a concern.
Bon appetit!

Is the Pineapple Plantation still in operation? I just remember beautiful sunsets from this restaurant and I think the food was good as well. Maybe someone with more recent experience can advise.

Atmospheric restaurants do not always guarantee good food; in fact, there may be an inverse correlation between the two! My favorite restaurants on Maui are by no means "romantic": Roys Kohala Grill, Sansei Sushi and Grill, and Halimallie General Store. Ironically, the Swan Court (at the Hyatt) is often mentioned as being "the most romantic" restaurant, but its food is average.

Kathleen, The above post refers to the Pinapple Hill. We've been there a few times but for a good meal and spectacular views go to the Plantation House. It's at the Clubhouse at The Plantation Course at Kapalua. Grteat views of Lanai as the clubhouse sits high on the West Maui mountain slopes. The food was excellent and great service. When you make reservations ask for a window. They are actually doors that are open. In the winter there is a huge fireplace in the middle of the room.
Aloha, Bart

You can get no better than Mamma's Fish House at sunset. A little pricey but well worth it believe me.

When you get off the plane, go straight to Mama's Fish House (It's on the airport side of island). Take the Hana Hwy about a mile past Paia. Oh my! I thought I would cry, it was so wonderful. We were there for a late lunch. Expensive and worth it. I had the Hawaiian fish with various fruits. So so good. Wander around and spend time on the benches.

Sea House Restaurant at Napili Beach. Had a beautiful breakfast there 8:00am one morn. Outstanding food view. I think I would stay at the Napili Kai Hotel next time right next to it. Hope I have that name right.

You might try looking at Maui Menus Online. We used it before our trip and it was really helpful. Lots of menus, reviews and such. The web site is at http://www.mauimenusonline.com.

Have fun!
Lili

We recently celebrated my wife's xxth bithday on Maui and ate at the Swan Court in the Hyatt regency.
Get a table by the lagoon for a nice romantic setting. The food's great too!
