romantic affordable hotel in Boston
 

My wife and I are coming up to Boston <BR>to spend our 1st Christmas together. I'm looking at staying at the Newbury Guest house <BR>or maybe the Copley Marriot or The Lennox. <BR>Any info on these places?? We're looking at <BR>staying under $150 a night. Any info would <BR>be great!! Thanks Art.

I think the Marriott, nice as it is, is probably like most Marriotts. We love the Lenox: the rooms are large with working fireplaces, marble baths, etc. We are trying the Newbury Guest house for the first time in January, but it has been recommended by many. The Lenox and Marriott probably have nothing at $150 unless you get a special rate; the Newbury has a range that might fit yours. The location of all 3 is perfect. <BR>

Newbury, hands down, no contest.

I agree, the Newbury Guest House is wonderful. Very charming and comfortable. For romantic, I'd recommend one of the front rooms with big bay windows overlooking Newbury Street. If you are light sleepers, ask for a room on as high a floor as possible, as there is lots of foot traffic along Newbury Street until late at night.
