Romance in S. CA, CHEAP!
 

Hi: I was hoping if anyone has idea of somewhere that is Romantic near the Southern CA? I am hoping for less than $200 for the weekend including fun and adventure. It would be a surprise for my husband. All ideas are WELCOME!!

How about Dana Point or Laguna Beach? A bit more north, you can try something in Santa Barbara.

In LA,some romantic things to do are a drive along the coast and go to Griffith Park Observatory for their planetarium show. It can be windy so you have to get close to stay warm! Also great view from Griffith Park of the whole city! <BR> <BR>I like walking along the beach too--redondo/huntington beach is my favorite. <BR> <BR>C&O Trattoria at the end of Washington Blvd. (at the beach)in Venice is a great fun EXCELLENT italian CHEAP food... huge portions and really fun atmosphere! <BR> <BR>

Highly recommend the Ballard Inn, Ballard, CA. Just outside Solvang in the Santa Yenez Valley. Wonderful inn, all room individually decorated, some with fireplaces. Excellent breakfast and afternoon hors d'ouvres & wind included. Dinners by reservation. In the middle of Santa Barbara wine country. Especially try Foley, Longoria, Sunstone (good for picnics)wineries. You can also bike ride if you bring your own. Charming little one-street towns of Ballard and Los Olivos. Los Olivos has some interesting shops. Solvang (very touristy) has great Danish pastry shops, go for breakfast. Yum!
