Rockford,IL ....MDW or ORD

Travelling to Rockford, IL week of Jan 19 on business. Recommendation anyone? security lineups? runway wait times? Will be renting a car and driving to Rockford.
Thanks

For Rockford, ORD would place you closer to your destination and you would avoid some time spent in Chicago traffic upon your arrival and departure. That said, I would also check out the option of flying into Madison, Wisconsin (MSN). It's closer than either ORD or MDW to Rockford. You can avoid the Chicago traffic scene altogether -- both in the air and on the ground -- along with a lot of the hassles that larger airports can sometimes present. Depending on your origin, fares are often quite competitive.

If it is Chicago definitely ORD. Actually I do not think there will be much car traffic, depending on the time of day of course. You can jump on the NW tollway from the airport. Air traffic is another matter.
