Rockettes in Nashville - best place to park
We are going to see the Rockettes in Nashville next Saturday. I read that parking is expensive. Someone suggested parking at the mall and walking to the Opry Land hotel. Is it feasible to park at the mall and walk to the Opry House? We are going to the 2:00 matinee.

If you don't mind the long walk, it's certainly doable. There's a walkway so people staying at Opryland Hotel can walk to the mall. I walked it. But you'll want to park near that end of the mall which everyone else is probably planning to do.

I believe the Rockettes are at the Grand Ole Opry House NOT the Opryland Hotel - Don't want you to make the long walk when you don't have to You can park in the Opry Mills Mall parking lot and walk across the street to the Opry House.

Thanks for the help. I realize the Rockettes are at the Opry House. I couldn't find anything about parking except a post on trip advisor that recommended parking at the mall when going to see the decorations at the hotel.
I've been to the hotel before, but not the Opry House and can't remember how close it is to the mall.
Hopefully we can find parking there. The person on trip advisor said there was a fee of $16 to park at the hotel. Is that true for the Opry House also?

The Opry House is thisclose to Opry Mills mall. Definitely park there rather than paying at the hotel. I think your best bet is to look for a spot near Dave & Buster's (on the northeast side - there will be signs directing you). From there, it's a five-minute walk at the most. However, with it being the holidays I have no idea how crowded it'll be - I avoid it like the plague.

Thanks jent103 for the advice. We have tickets to the 2:00 show on Saturday. Hopefully if we arrive at the mall before noon we can find parking and spend some time shopping before going to the show.
Walking doesn't bother us and it looks like the weather will be okay. Like you, I don't care for crowds, but my daughter wants to go and we are going to be in the Nashville area on Friday so the timing was perfect.

I don't find it to be that much of a walk either. We'll also be in the area - my husbands Christmas Party is taking place on the General Jackson and I think we have to be there around 3. I wish I was going to the Rockettes! Enjoy the show!!

Happy to help! I think getting to the mall early is a good plan. There are plenty of restaurants (food court and some nicer ones) where you can get lunch before the show. The shopping probably isn't that different from anything you have close to home, but there is an IMAX and a regular movie theater along with Dave & Buster's if you'd prefer one of those to shopping! Or you could always park, walk over to the hotel and see the lights, then come back. Have a great time!
