Rock Hill S.C. hotels?

Is anyone familiar with Rock Hill, SC....specifically the Best Western, Hampton Inn or Comfort Inn?

Looking for an inexpensive, safe place for a one night stay, preferably near restaurants, shopping etc.

Thanks in advance!

Rock Hill, SC is almost Charlotte, NC. Don't let that state line get in your way. You might want to look in the south Charlotte area.

I have family in Charlotte, so I haven't stayed in a hotel there, but I think there is a Hampton Inn or something like that in the Ballentyne development. It has shops at restaurants in walking distance of the hotel.
Hi ellen!
I grew up in Charlotte and we used to drive to Rock Hill to see the roses every spring..or was it summer? Anyway-I second ncgirls suggestion, it is not a long drive, maybe you would be better off looking in Charlotte.

Thanks for the replies!

Yes, Charlotte was my original thought; we've actually stayed there before on our trips home from Florida. However this time, hubby 'Clark' said it might be just a bit too far.... we're leaving for home later after we get our last bit of sunshine in the morning :)

Maybe we'll play it by ear and see how far we can get...there seem to be plenty of rooms available along the highway. :)

Thanks again for the replies!!!
