Rochester budget hotel/motel
 

Would like to find a budget hotel with easy access to I90. There are 3 families with kids so would like a pool as we'll be there for a weekend. Reasonably priced, pool, breakfast - is it possible? Any suggestions?

I don't know exactly what your budget is, but there is a nice Hampton Inn close to I90 in Victor. They have an indoor pool and breakfast included. The location is great with lots of restaurants and a big mall nearby.

I-90 goes right by the two best known Rochesters in the US--Minnesota and NY.
Which one?

My friend who lives in the area suggested this:
"There is a Hampton Inn that is fairly new right off 1-90 in Victor off of
thruway exit 45 onto rte. 96 in Victor (take a right on 96 I believe)."
We weren't sure if it had a pool, but it must be the same one Dpcta describes above. We assumed New York.

Sorry for the oversight..yes it's N.Y. -has anyone stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Henrietta? It looks quite nice and has a pool. I will also check the Hampton Inn. Thanks.

Brookwood Inn - Pittsford/Victor (248-9900)
Marriott Courtyard - Penfield
Holiday Inn (Holidome)- Jefferson Ave, Henrietta (475-1510)

RIT now runs the Marriott thruway, if you say you're with RIT (alum, parent...) the rate is $70 a night. Within 2 miles of 90, is nice, modern, has indoor/outdoor pool... http://www.ritinn.com/.

If you want to sleep, I would skip the Del Monte Renaissance. I stayed there last year on business. It is very lovely with great rooms and a really nice restaurant. But.....the train goes by several times a nite and actually shakes the whole building. Not a good experience!!

Check a map. If the Penfield Marriott Courtyard isn't too far from I-90 for your purposes (it's on a feeder), it's a very good place and a good value.

funny...just checked out of the brookwood inn yesterday. was up there for work. it's very nice. thumbs up.
