Road trip to the south

I have not explored much of the southern part of the US and I am thinking of taking a week off and exploring the south in the summer by car.

I would be leaving from Northern California.

What is the time frame like if I wanted to drive to texas or albama or florida? I am thinking it would take 3 to 4 days to drive to those areas, right? Or am I wrong?

If you have done car trips to the south coming from the west, what were your experiences like?

I highly suggest you get an atlas of the US and start there.

Your question is like someone asking you if they can explore Southern California in an afternoon.

Depending on where you go in Florida, it's about 4 days.

Thank you, tcapp. I had a hunch it would take about 3-4 days to get to florida/louisiana.

Thank you for your input! I am trying to get some road trip ideas squared away for the summer.

San Francicso to New Orleans is over 2,300 miles. Pensacola is another 150 miles.
